Cosmic campground, an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, has ten sites with tables, fire rings and no shade. It's good for what it's designed for, but I preferred the dispersed site before the campground. More sites are past the campground, but the road gets a bit rough.
Nice solo spot before main campground
No shade is the deal breaker for me. I like some protection against the wind, too, but it's a place to stay for the night when you need one.
